Querido equipo de Taronja: Gracias por dos semanas maravillosas. Taronja es la mejor escuela para aprender español y conocer a la vida española. Cocinar con Fernando, conversación con Ana, gramática con Sergio y ¡PARA! con Javi -> ¡Una pesada!

Mi experiencia en Valencia fue muy guay. La ciudad es maravillosa, tiene mucha arte y muchos monumentos que puede visitar, como por ejemplo la ciudad de las artes y de las ciencias o las igliesas que hay en la ciudad. En Valencia hay el mar y para un estudiante que quería hacer un curso de espanol por el verano es una posibilidad muy bonita, la playa está siempre limpia, cada dia el ayuntamiento limpia la playa de la basura. Además en la playa hay mochos servicios como por ejemplo duchas, bares y vestuarios. La escuela Taronja es maravillosa también, hay secretarias muy amables y útiles. Las organización es muy buena, los profesores son muy profesionales, simpaticos y útilizan muchos metodos muy interesantes y divertidos. En el curso no hay solo el curso de lengua, hay también muchas actividades muy guay como el curso de cocina del “Chef Nando” (fue muy divertido), el curso de cultura, el tour de tapas y la paella party. Pero la escuela organiza también muchas otras actividades interesantes, sin embargo en otras escuelas no hay tan actividades y así guay secretarias, becarias, profesores etc… Si quieres hacer un curso de espanol en Valencia, la mejor experiencia es en la escuela Taronja. En Valencia hemos experimentado mucho, pero el tiempo no era bueno. ¡Que lastima! Todas las familias eran muy simpáticas y era muy interesante como los españoles viven. La comida y la limpieza eran más o menos buenas. Hemos conocido a mucha gente nueva y hay nuevas amistades. Nos ha gustado el tiempo el tiempo libre porque las tiendas eran buenas. Ademas las actividades eran más o menos buenas y la guia Marta era muy simpática y nos ha dicho muchas informaciones. Los profesores de Taronja eran geniales, especialmente Victor y Carlos. Nuestra semana en Valencia ha sido bastante bien aunque el tiempo fue muy yyy mal. Ha llovido muchísimo y hizo mucho frio. Las actividades fueron parcialmente interesantes y a veces aburridos, porque tuvimos que ir a pie todo el tiempo. Las clases fueran buenas porque las temas nos interesaron y las discusiones fueron guay también. Nos gustan los profesores (Carlos y Maria Jose) – son simpáticos y relajados.

Nos gusta la escuela Taronja y los profesores. Las actividades eran bonitas pero a veces un poco aburrido. El tiempo fue muy mal. ¡Qué pena! Las familias eran simpáticos y las casas y las habitaciones eran limipiadas. ¡La comida era muy bien! En general nos gusta Valencia y la semana allí.

Nos parece que Valencia es una ciudad muy bonita… ¡Es una lástima que el tiempo fuera malo! A pesar de que llovia, hemos pasado una semana divertida y hemos aprendido mucho. En los cursos había discusiones largos y fuertes. En general se puede decir que las actividades han sido interesantes y con mejor tiempo serian mejores, ¡seguro! En conclusión la semana era una buena experiencia.

Primero queríamos decir que el tiempo no ha sido bueno, pero nos hemos pasadolo bien. El tiempo en la escuela ha sido muy bien. Los profesores eran muy amable y hemos estudiado con nosotros en buenas maneras.  Hemos hablado sobre temas actuales y hemos visto muchas videos. Hemos hecho muchas actividades como visitar a museos o visitar la ciudad y los monumentos juntos. Todo el tiempo ha estado muy divertido. Valencia nos ha gustado mucho.

La semana en Valencia fue buena, porque pudimos aprender un poco de la cultura de los españoles. Pero el tiempo fue horrible; llovió casi todos los días y por eso perdíamos la gana de hacer algo y no podíamos disfrutar del viaje.

También no nos gustó que la escuela era en la tarde. Aunque el tiempo no fue por nuestra parte, lo hemos pasado bien.

¡Hola! Somos del sur de Alemania y estuvimos una semana en Valencia. La escuela Taronja fue muy bien y nos gusto las clases. Nuestros profesores fueran muy simpáticos y nos ayudaron mucho aprender español.

La mayoría de las actividades fue genial. Visitamos la playa, museos, al mercado central y otros lugares interesantes. Además hicimos muchas diferentes actividades por la noche como karaoke, paella y flamenco.

Pero por desgracia llovió mucho y hizo mucho frio.

Fue fenomenal vivir con una familia española y conocimos la comida típica de España.

¡En general la semana fue una aventura única!

¡Hola! Somos de Alemania. Fuimos en Valencia una semana. El tiempo no estuve bien pero las familias y las actividades fueron muy bien. Además la escuela y la clase fueron únicos e interesantes. Tuvimos la posibilidad de conocer una cultura nueva y diferente.  En general la semana en Valencia fue fenomenal y una de las semanas mejores de nuestra vida. Recomendamos la escuela.

Buenos días,

Somos estudiantes de Alemania y hemos ido a Valencia durante una semana. Hemos visto la gran ciudad de Valencia. Nos gusta mucho la ciudad pero el tiempo no era muy bueno. L Para empezar la semana, hemos ido a un restaurante de paella, ¡muy deliciosa! En nuestro tiempo libre nos gusta visitar el estadio futbol y la ciudad moderna. Esperamos que nuestras maletas no van a estar tan pesadas, porque las chicas estaban en las tiendas todas las pausas.

Los profesores de Taronja son muy simpáticos. Ahora estamos más seguras de nosotras mismas. Las familias son muy simpáticas también. Era una semana muy maravillosa. Por la fin nosotros nunca olvidaremos la semana y nuestros amigos.

He estado una semana en Valencia. He vivido en un piso con mis amigas de Hollanda. Me gusta Valencia! He aprendido Español en Taronja. Mis professores son simpáticos y buenos. Mis amigas y yo, nos encantamos la semana en Valencia y el tiempo en la escuela Taronja! Visitamos muchos lugares y comimos la paella valenciana. Es muy deliciosa! Además, fuimos a la playa y a la feria de vino y comida. A mi me gustan las actividades en la escuela. Hemos aprendido cada día algo nuevo y los profesores son muy simpáticos. Hola, yo soy Donato, yo no hablo muy bien español, tengo 32 años, trabajo en Italia. Yo he estado en esta escuela una semana y me gustava mucho y me gustava tambien mucho comer tapas. Valencia es una ciudad muy divertida y espero volver pronto… En la escuela Taronja yo ha conocido gente de todo el mundo y yo espero volver a verla fue una gran experiencia, doy gracias a Victor y Ana por su simatia. Termino deseando a todos una vida feliz.

Me llamo Josephine y tengo 20 años. Vivo en Suiza. Aqui he tenido dos semanas muy divertidas y he aprendido mucho. A mi me gustan mucho las actividades y los profesores son muy simpáticos. No quiero volver de Valencia a Suiza.

Llegar en una ciudad en un país extranjero solo no es tan facil pero gracias a toda la gente de Taronja, tengo que decir que nos sentimos como en casa aqui. En dos semanas aqui, no he hechado de menos a mi casa, está como una familia, toda la gente es muy acogedora, siempre que he tenido dudas se arregló todo en muy poco tiempo. Las actividades de la escuela son numerosas y variadas, la organizaciçon es perfecta y nos permite compartir tiempo con gente de todo el mundo. En la escuela, no tengo nada que decir sino que el nivel de las clases es muy bueno, intercambiamos y debatimos sobre temas variados, lo que nos permite hablar bastante y abrirnos sobre otras culturas, eso es una riqueza.

Valencia is a great city, I have had great three month here! Taronja is a modern school with qualified and funny teachers, nice interns and clearly also other students. There are many activities for the students – almost every day and my «Spanish family» was the best I could have imagined and I think I will return from time to time to visit them! Hello! We are a group of students from the Notre Dame school in Paris. We have spent a wonderful week at Taronja School in the city of Valencia during the month of February and this is all we think about, the experience we hope to repeat in future. Long live Taronja! Raphaelle: I love Valencia. It is a great town with pretty boys, fantastic shopping and very nice and fun people. But the best thing is to walk through this wonderful city that has very beautiful monuments like the Estación del Norte (train station), the Cathedral, the Central Market and the Silk Exchange Building. Nina: I liked this trip to Valencia because I love the lifestyle of the Spanish. Infact, thanks to good weather and good temperatures people go out at night. I’m crazy about going to Spain! Guillaume: I like Valencia because it is a very nice city. The weather is nice and the people are friendly. This city is fun because it has a wonderful beach, the Oceanografic and many activities for tourists. Valencia is an unforgettable city. Corentin: Valencia is a beautiful city. When we arrived at TARONJA the Spanish teachers were very good to us. It was hot during the week. We hope to return to Valencia. Lola: I’ve loved this trip to Spain because the weather has been very good and it has been hot. The Spanish are fun, friendly and very generous. During this week we went to the Fallas Museum and we walked along the old river. Melissa: The best of Valencia are the stores that are cheaper than in France. Furthermore Valencian people are very friendly and the boys are very handsome. Manon: Valencia is calling me. It is a very beautiful city. It is very hot and the weather is good. People are friendly. I love the monuments. We could take a walk in the modern part of the city. Guirec, Kanto and Maria: I enjoyed this week. Spain is great! Actually, the food is very good, the people are very friendly, the scenery is very beautiful. We have seen many things like the Fallas Museum, which is very interesting and of course the Turía Gardens. We also went shopping. It was so cheap! From time to time, we studied to prepare us for the DELE (Spanish official examination). Penelope, Alice and Clémentine: The trip to Valencia was very interesting. We stayed one week. In the morning, we had classes with Adela and Carlos (very nice!). We did DELE exercises and, of course, we played games which was fun. Moreover, in the afternoons we visited the city and did various activities, for example did we go to the Fallas Museum and to up the Miguelete. Spanish food was delicious. We liked a lot Tapas and Churros with Chocolate. At the end of the day,we came home to our Spanish «parents» who have been very good with us. We hope to return soon to Valencia in order to enjoy the sun and the beautiful city. Olivier and Louis: Our trip to Valencia was incredible. It is much hotter than in Paris. But we spent a lot of time in school, preparing us for the DELE exam. We also have done other things: we went to the beach, the Fallas Museum. We also chose the best Ninot (Fallas doll) for this year. It was fun. The school is very well located, close to the Old Town. So we could walk there a lot during the lunch break. We have tried the Horchata in a coffee shop near the Miguelete.

TRIP TO SPAIN We came to Valencia by plane on Monday night. Then we went to the hotel located in the city center. We liked it a lot because it is very well-equipped and clean. This trip has been very interesting and informative but what matters is that we have learned many things, especially through talking to people in the streets, but also by making games in order to get to know the monuments. We have discovered many places of the city and various customs and legends of Valencia. In school we have learned many new words, in particular some Valencian words. And we  also did a cooking lesson where Chef Nando showed us how to cook paella which is a typical Spanish dish. Rosamaria La Vecchia TARONJA SCHOOL AND ITS TEACHERS In Taronja School we have learned many things while talking to professor Luis, who has taught us new words. Thanks to him the lessons were very interesting and very informative but also very entertaining. From Tuesday to Thursday, we have studied a little grammar and have done a lot of talking, while Friday morning we have made a ‘gymkhana’ where we talked to people in the streets. Christina Di Napoli THE BULLFIGHTING MUSEUM When we went to the bullfighting museum we saw a very good video about all the steps taken before the fights. Before coming to the arena the bulls are in a place where they can eat and relax for four years. After this period they are moved to the arena and they are put behind the arena. On the day of the fights, the bulls enter the arena and fight against a team of bullfighters and the bullfighter has to kill the bull. After this video we have seen the suits of very famous bullfighters in Valencia and some pictures of how the bulls live and in this room is also a stuffed bull. Giusy Acampa VISIT OF THE CENTRAL MARKET We have visited the Central Market on Wednesday, 14 December. Marta, our guide,  has given us a duty to do. We had to ask some questions to people at the market. I was paired with my friend Giusy. The walk through the market has been a lot of fun. The market is very large and has many different food stores and then, me and my friend, we have made a series of photographs of food, as for example oranges, cabbage and fish. Also people have been very helpful and friendly. This visit I liked a lot and has been very useful for conversation practice. Giulia Emigrato COOKING CLASS WITH THE GREAT CHEF NANDO In school we have had a cooking lesson with Chef Nando this Wednesday, where we prepared the typical dish of Valencia: the seafood paella. He has explained all the steps of the dish, from the beginning to the end, in a very sympathetic and funny way…also breaking the mortar! The ingredients were: round rice, red peppers, onions, peas, shrimp, squid, tomato, mussels, olive oil and a little salt. Afterwards we ate the Paella and we liked it a lot! Fabiana Pandolfelli   VISIT OF THE FALLAS MUSEUM Last Wednesday we went to visit the Fallas Museum at the Plaza de Monteolivete, near the ‘City of Arts and Sciences’. It is a typical museum of the city of Valencia dedicated to the Fallas. The Fallas is a period of celebration, held in spring from March 1st to 19th, the day of San José. During this period the streets are crowded and noisy because of firecrackers and fireworks. And the most important part are the Fallas, doll sculptures that are put in the street, made out of materials that can be burned because on the last day, traditionaly the dolls are going to be burned. To built them, the artisans need a lot of time, about one year. In this museum we have seen a video and after that, the exposure showing the work of the artisans and pictures which show different falleras from this time. About the dolls, we can say that they are made with a lot of fantasy. Some represent famous novels and each year the most beautiful works «win» a place in the museum. These «works of art» have a great value ranging from € 4,500 to € 12,000. We really liked this museum because it has a lot of charme and we also liked the warning of the people’s attachment to this tradition (especially in the video), despite the complaints about the waste of money spent to celebrate the Fallas. Sara and Serena Ginestous Ucelli VISIT AT THE MUVIM (Valencian Museum of Illustration and Modernity) When we went to the MUVIM we made a trip back in time. From the beginning of the world until today we have discovered many secrets of artistic and literary history through the displayed images. Our guide was very special because he had a black robe that covered his whole body, so at first we were a little scared, but then everything was interesting and suggestive. We have gone through  time walking down dark corridors and following our guides from one century to another. In short, the visit was very nice and we all liked it. Francesca Contini THE GYMKHANA Today we have had a very interesting experience: We have had a gymkhana organized by Taronja School for us Italian students. This activity started at about 9am and our teacher, Luis, has given us a sheet with some questions about different places and topics. This game was about the interaction with people and places of Valencia. It has been a lot of fun. We had to do the following: asking people in the streets about the tallest building in the city, the Horchata, their favorite place, the characteristics of the Valencian people and the names of three famous people originally from Valencia; taking pictures of objects starting with Z and T, street furniture with a particular utility, decorative street furniture and a display window, and also describe the photos; searching for two bookstores near the school, enter those and ask the librarian about Spanish books, books for foreigners and the most sold ones throuhout the year; going to the train station ‘Estacion del Norte’ and ask people about the fruit that is painted on the facade, which animal was on the roof when the building was constructed, and also taking a picture with one person in front of the station; also, finding out how to become a new user of Valenbisi; going to an information office for subway and busses, and asking how to get to the Mestalla Stadium and the ‘City of Arts and Sciences’ departing from the Spanish School; and finally, finding a souvenir shop and asking the shopkeeper which the most sold object is and furthermore why this object is representative of Valencia.
