¡UNA SEMANA FANTÁSTICA!

ARK ACADEMY

image 1 test

Hi Sweeties!

We are a group of 8 students from Holland ( Tom, Jesús, Kevin, Juanes, Sjoerd, Royce, Kim, Willemyn, Anne y Malin ). We stayed one week in Valencia for learning spanish at Taronjaschool. We visited many interesing places like the city of «las artes y ciencias», the old town, Mercado Central and we ate Churros, Horchata and Paella from Chef Nando 🙂 We also had Nandos cooking class and learned how to cook croquette with ham. The school is so much fun! We had Ana and Victor as teachers. They’re so nice !! Learning was also fun. We did it for example with Games like means of transporte, sport and speak to the people on the street. We like Valencia much because it’s really warm and the people are so nice and open. It’s a extraordinary, funny and fantastic city!! This is not a «Goodbye», this is a «see you soon»! Big kiss! Stedelijk School   Vernice Kirrmaier

West Buckland

¡HOLA!

We are 8 students from West Buckland which is in the southeast in Ingland. We’ve been in Valencia for one week ( 28/10 until the 3/11). We think that Valencia is a really beautiful city with many things to do. In general we love the beach, the city of artes y ciencias and all the shops. In the Taronjaschool we had Mariajo and Victor as teacher and they were so kind and helped us a lot. In the mornings we had some activities which helped us to get to knoew the spannish culture. Now for example we know how to cooke the spanish Tortilla and Gazpacho. For us this trip was very interesting and we had a lot of fun. It was AWESOME! Thank you some much for everything, Taronja!!!! The time I spent in Valencia has been short but very beautiful. I like a lot the school and the teachers. They’re kind, lovely and very helpful. Furthermore I like a lot the activities out of the school. Although I’ve been only for a short time, it has been very funny, and now I know people from other countries.

Johannes

I am Johannes. I’m 20 and I live in Germany very close to Frankfurt. I spent five funny weeks here in Valencia. After having Spanish classes for two years in college I decided to study Spanish in Frankfurt University. A friend of mine recommended me Valencia and she told me it was a wonderful city. So I decided to look for a Spanish school in Valencia. And I found Taronja school. I like Valencia so much! The nights at the Oktoberfest with the beers from Germany were phenomenal. The time here has passed very fast and in two days I have to come back to Germany, where it’s very cold 🙁

Anna

Hi guys! I’m Anna, I’m Russian. I’ve been studying Spanish in Taronja school for four weeks. I liked very much my trip to Valencia. Valencia is a very beautiful city to spend a wonderful summer. The classes in the school have always been very interesting and useful. Ana, Alex and Victor Manuel are very nice! I think I’ve found here my favourite teachers. You won’t regret if you choose this place to learn the language and to know the Spanish culture. Here there are always lots of students from different countries and lots of parties. Here you can achieve the funniest life.

albufera-4Very enjoyable week learning Spanish and Spanish cooking. Staff were friendly and helpful. As a beginner with no Spanish whatsoever, the teachers unsured you do not get left behind. I learned a huge amount of words and verbs and have more confidence in everyday exchanges in the real world and I can read and understand a lot more in the streets around me. The cooking was also very good. The cook gave the lessons in Spanish but also translated in English. We cooked many Spanish dishes but especially local Valencia food. We got a very good insight into local Spanish culture and food practices, the cooking was very hands on and we were allowed to «get our hands dirty» with plenty of practice. Plus we got to eat some wonderful dishes cooked by our professional chef (very tasty!!! Mucho gusto!!!). We also got to see Albufera where the rice grows locally and visited the mill to see the rice-processing.
Great week, highly recommend it.

Hi guys, My experience in Valencia has been very cool. The city is wonderful, artistic and it has lots of monuments you  can  visite such as, for example, Ciudad de las Artes y Las Ciencias or the many churches that there are in the city. In Valencia there’s the beach, so it’s a good possibility for a student who wants to have class in Summer. The beach is always clean because every day the city council throws away the trash. Additionally there are many services in the beach such as, for example, showers, bars or locker rooms. Taronja school is wonderful too and the secretaries are very gentle. The organization is very good, the teachers are very professional, sympathetic and they use lots of interesting and funny methods. It’s not only a language course because there are many activities very cool, like cooking class with «Chef Nando» (it was very funny), the culture classes, the «Tapas Tour» and the «Paella party». However, the school even organizes many more activities. In other schools there are not so many activities and teachers, secretaries and interns so cool.

If you want to do a Spanish course in Valencia, the best experience is in Taronja school.

Chiara

Chiara Margutti We came here without knowing not even a Spanish word. After two weeks I learnt a lot and I spent a great time. I’m very glad of the activities I’ve done with the school. I’ll never forget the people I met, I met many people from different countries, good people. Now I understand enough well when people talk to me and I speak enough well, but I still have to study a lot. If my friends wanted to come to Valencia I would suggest them this school, because you learn Spanish in a funny and fast way.

Nienke

Nienke Van der Veen Hi! I’m Nienke and I’m from Holland. I’m 26. I like a lot traveling to Spain and for this reason I wanted to improve my Spanish. I chose Valencia, because I’ve never been there and it was a fantastic choice, especially for the Taronja school. The teachers are very funny and I’ve never laughed so much in a classroom, but I learnt a lot too. The activities were very funny. I liked a lot the «Paella Party» and the cooking class, because chef Nando’s food was amazing! Furthermore Valencia is a very beautiful city. My favourites places are the Turia Park, la Ciudad de las Artes y Ciencias and the beach, of course! In summary it has been an amazing experience!

Valencia, a beautiful city! (Keynes Group)

Museo_falleroKEYNES GROUP, ITALY

Hi everyone!

We are a group of 7 people that spent a wonderful week at Taronja, the most beautiful school in Valenia. we have learnt a lot of new things thanks to the fun activities and also thanks to the nice and available professors.

Some Valencian families took us in, and none of us would complain! Thanks to them we learned some of the costumes most used in Spain.

From Monday until Friday we visited the entire city: the old centre and the modern city, some museums like the tourism museum, fallero museum which we like a lot, where you see a passion which is growing in popularity every year. A big thanks to everyone who made this week possible! We want to return and repeat this experience. Thank you! Holaaa! Kisses

Hi Taronja!SAM_574101blog

We are italian people who stayed in Valencia for one week. We learnt a lot of spanish costumes and we visited the city in different places. We liked the Oceanografico and the cooking class of Fernando, where we learnt to make seafood paella. The only negative thing was the Flamenco night because we wanted to see a girl dance instead of a guy. We would like to return here.

Till soon!

Greta, Miriana, Clara and Daviole

Valencia is a very beautiful city, people are very open and friendly, especially the family we stayed at. There are a lot of shops and restaurants, a lot of things to visit. For example: the fallero museum, oceanografic, casco antiguo, mercado central. After having cooked with Fernando (very nice!) tuesday, we went to eat paella but the place was not very nice, the paella was though! It was amazing. The food for us is very good. The professors are very open, friendly and nice (good looking as well). We would like to return to Valencia.

Miriam Sadi, Marta Taravgno

Very nice, full of color and good! (Taronja)

Valencia is a very beautiful city and with a lot of colors. I liked it a lot; the family is very good and hospitable. The food was very good as well! I liked the Flamenco a lot!

Francesca Graziosi and Natalia Kostiuk

Valencia is perfect! What I liked the most was Oceanografico and the family I lived with. I would like to return some time. The school is very beautiful and creative! I like the way they teach and so did Francesca. The people are very sympathetic and nice. The food and the drinks that we tried were the paella (was very good) and sangria (also good). But the thing that I don’t like is the bull fight! Thanks for everything.

Natalia and Francesca

Valencia is a very beautiful city because it has a lot of interesting places like: the Oceanografico, the modern city, the fallero museum and all the squares that we liked a lot. We ate paella for the first time and we loved it. The school is very fun because it has a lot of colors. The professors are fun and sympathetic but most of all nice! We learnt a lot of words and the activities were fun. The families were open and supportive. We would like to meet again in Valencia! -Ferederica

The museum taurino has been disgusting because we didn’t like the killing!
