We really liked the Fallas!

Byasen VGS School 17 – 23 March

rematefallacuba--644x362 We are a group from Norway and we stayed in Valencia for a week to study spanish. We have seen big fallas and the touristic hotspots. We lived with spanish families and we liked them a lot. Everyday we ate and drunk typical spanish things. We also went to the beach twice for some sunbathing, Daniel and Helle, two of our students, even went swimming in the sea. We have learned a lot of spanish during this week, and as well a lot about the spanish culture. We liked the Fallas a lot and the fireworks.

¡UNA SEMANA FANTÁSTICA!

ARK ACADEMY

It was an unforgettable experience and the lessons are very funny!

Group Principessa

Principessa (2) We are 3 italian girls and we came here to learn spanish. We arrived at Valencia on third of april and we lived in groups of two persons in different families. The families were very likeable and organized. Every day our families prepared us a big sandwich with water, fruit juice and chocolate. Every morning from 9:00h until 14:05h we had class at Taronja, a very good school, where the teachers are very likeables, for example Angel and Lucia. The teachers put us in 4 different groups. Every morning from 13:00h we went outside the school because we made some activities on the street. For example one day we went to the train station and asked for information about the tickets. Another day we went to the central market because we wanted to get information about the prices of the meat and menues. To be in Valencia and to go to the school alone made us feel like we´re living here. Every morning we had to walk. One day which we liked very much was sunday, because we went to the Oceanografico and the Ciudad de las Artes y de las Ciencias. This vacaitions were very cool and funny!   Names: Francesca, Alessia, Alessandra County: Italy     Principessa (3) We are two boys and one girl and we´re from Italy. Cora

My name is Cora and I am from Germany. I’ve been in Valencia for six months and it has been an unforgettable time! At first I was just a student at the school but after a while I started to work for Taronja. I loved working and learning and never in my life did I make so many special friends. I met many people, from whole over the world. Valencia is the perfect city in my eyes. On one side it’s not very big nor is it small but it has everything (beautiful beach, old buildings, modern part). On the otherside it is not as touristic as Barcelona or Madrid and the weather is always nice, with the sun shining. About the school I just want to say that it’s fantastic. The teachers are super nice and they always help you, the classes are very fun and the activities super cool. I promise you’ll have a phenomenal time! I don’t want to leave! I miss it already! See you again soon Cora Germany Cora

My experience in Valencia and with Taronja has been one of the best experiences of my life. I liked it so much that I hope to return for two or three months. The teachers and students were very nice! The teachers were very kind, friendly and very interactive with the students.  The after-school activities were really fun and an opportunity to speak with the others students, who had a wide range of different ages and nationalities. I really enjoyed the experience in Taronja! I learned spanish by having much fun, the lessons have been very funny and interesting. Everybody was nice and I loved the activities like the welcome-paella and the cooking lessons with the great Chef Nando! 🙂 It also was very interesting being here during the Fallas and to see how the valencianos are living this celebration! I´d really like to come back to enjoy more time with people from all over the world learning spanish!! Ciao Name: Erica Country: Italy Valencia en Fallas

Jessica

« «Hi, my names’Jess, I’m from Berlin»   these were almost the only words I could say on my first day in Taronja school.            After four weeks I can write this text. I know it’s not «world’s literature» , but it’s a pleasure that I can share this thoughts with other people. I liked a lot the teachers, very simpathetic, and the atmosphere a little bit crazy. Furthermore the program after the regular classes was varied and funny.                 In my first month in Valencia I learned a lot about Valencia’s people, very opened and lovely, I ate the typical food like  Paella and Gazpacho and I enjoyed the good weather/hot. But the best thing is the beach. Valencia is a city with everything (history, nature and shopping opportunities, relax and parties). Of course! There are things I miss, for example the cereal bread or drinking directly from de tap. But they’re only two things compared to all the good things. So: don’t shout! I’m going to stay other 5 months in Valencia ( the beautiful city of «the arts and sciences»). I’m curious about the things that will happen.

Anna

Hi guys! I’m Anna, I’m Russian. I’ve been studying Spanish in Taronja school for four weeks. I liked very much my trip to Valencia. Valencia is a very beautiful city to spend a wonderful summer. The classes in the school have always been very interesting and useful. Ana, Alex and Victor Manuel are very nice! I think I’ve found here my favourite teachers. You won’t regret if you choose this place to learn the language and to know the Spanish culture. Here there are always lots of students from different countries and lots of parties. Here you can achieve the funniest life.

One week in VALENCIA!

Buigen Gynasium, Germany

resizer.phpWe experienced a lot of things in Valencia, but the weather wasn’t good. Such a pity! All the families were kind and it was very interesting to get to know how Spanish people live.

The food and cleanliness were good. We got to know a lot of people and made new friends. We also liked having free time because there are a lot of shops. Also, the activities were more or less good; our guide Marta was very kind and told us lots of stuff about the city. The teachers of Taronja were great, especially Victor and Carlos. Thanks for everything.

Our week in Valencia has been quite nice, even though the weather was veryyyy bad. It rained loads and it was very cold. The activities were quite interesting, but boring at times because we were on our feet all the time. The classes were good because the subjects were interesting, and our discussions were cool too. We liked the teachers (Carlos and Maria Jose) – they are kind and relaxed.

We liked Taronja School and the teachers. The activities were nice but at times a bit boring. The weather was really bad. What a shame! The families were nice and the houses and rooms were clean. The food was really good! In general we like Valencia and the week we spent there.

Valencia seems like a really pretty city… it’s just such a shame that the weather has been so bad! Even though it was raining, we’ve had a great week and learnt loads. In the classes we had long, we had deep, profound discussions. In general you could say that the activities were interesting and with if the weather was better, for sure! In conclusion, the week was a great experience.

Natalia Weber, Carina Pfeifer

First of all we would like to say that the weather wasn’t good, but we still had a great time, especially in school. The teachers were really nice and taught us with good methods. We talked about current affairs and watched a lot of videos. We did a lot of activities such as visiting museums or the city and its monuments together as a group. Our whole time here was really fun. We liked Valencia a lot.

Martine, Luisito, Sherine

The week in Valencia was nice, because we learnt a bit about the Spanish culture. But the weather was horrible; it rained almost every day and so we didn’t really feel up to doing anything and we couldn’t enjoy our trip.

We also didn’t really like that we had classes in the afternoons. But even though the weather wasn’t on our side, we had a great time.

paella-e-frutti-di-mare   Hey! We’re from the south of Germany and we were in Valencia for a week. Taronja School was really good and we liked the classes. Our teacher were really kind and helped us a lot with our Spanish.

The majority of the activities were great. We went to the beach, to museums, to the Mercado central, and to other interesting places. We also went to some activities at night, such as karaoke, paella, and flamenco.

But unfortunately it rained a lot and it was very cold.

It was great living with a Spanish family and we got to taste typical Spanish food.

Overall the week was a unique adventure!

Good morning, we’re students from Germany and we have spent the last week in Valencia. We saw a large part of the city of Valencia. We liked the city but the weather wasn’t good. L To start the week, we went to have paella. So yummy! In our free time we visited the football stadium and the city. We hope that our luggage aren’t going to be too heavy – because the girls used the breaks to go shopping!

The teachers in Taronja are really kind. Now we are more confident. The families were really kind, too. It was a marvellous week. We’ll never forget this week we spent with our friends.

Thanks very much!
