Nico

Nico Durbán, alumno

Nico, student may 2012

Hi all! My name is Nico and I’m French. Although I come from the city of Dijon, which is very far away from the ocean, I am very, very passionate about the marine world. That is why I studied the subject at university. After some working experiences, I came to Valencia to improve my Spanish at Taronja School for 4 weeks and susequently I’m going to begin an internship at the Oceanográfico, the largest aquarium in Europe, lasting three months by the European program Leonardo Da Vinci. But what I like most is that I do get a lot of time to enjoy the Valencian life and get to know its culture and of course its nightlife due to this quite long stay…

I’m Kitty. I have studied Spanish at Taronja for two weeks. I study Spanish since two weeks. I really like Valencia. Valencia is a very nice and interesting city. The beach is also very nice. I love to buy things here because in Spain they are cheaper and nicer than in HK. I love to eat paella with seafood and drink Sangria.

Marianne

Marianne Noll, alumna agosto 2012

Marianne, student august 2012

My name is Marianne and I am from Germany, near Munich. I’m 22 years old and I study international economy in Innsbruck, Austria. * I like Valencia a lot, because it is a very green city with the Turia and a lot more things to do. The best is ‘the City of Arts and Sciences’, the historic center with the cathedral and of course the beach and the sun. Taronja is a very good Spanish school because all the Spanish teachers are friendly and competent. I have learned a lot here and I really liked that the Spanish classes were small, and that I could meet many different people. There are many activities at night particularly the «Tapas Tour» is very good. I enjoyed my holiday in Valencia and at Taronja Spanish School and hopefully I can return sometime. * I learn Spanish for my studies and because I think it is a very beautiful language.

Marco

Marco Costard, alumno julio 2012

Marco, student july 2012

I’m Marco from Hamburg, Germany. This summer was the second time at Taronja School. Last year in summer I also spent three weeks at Taronja. I liked it so much and so I decided this year to come back to the Spanish School. I loved it again a lot. When you’re studying at Taronja School you have the chance to meet new people from all around the world. You’re also doing many activities together with your teachers. The Taronja School teachers are very friendly. They will always help you with language problems. They are good in explaining and it is very easy to keep up them in the Spanish classes. I also loved the activities. Taronja always organizes evening activities such as parties, tapas tours or visits of different places. These activities are perfect to meet other people and also to spend time with your teachers who are also often participating at the activities. To conclude I only need one sentence: This is the best option to spend time in Spain and improve your Spanish. Thank you very much for these all in all great 6 weeks!

Frédérique

Frédérique Pressmann, alumna julio 2012

Frédérique, student july 2012

Hallo! My name is Frédérique and I’m from Paris. I’m a documentary filmmaker (film and radio) and I translate books from English into French. Last winter I was in Valencia for a few days to visit a protagonist of my last film. I spottet him in Paris and he is living here in Valencia. One day I was walking alone in the neighborhood of Cabanyal, near the beach, and I liked it so much that at the end of the visit I sat on a bench and cried. In this moment, I decided to return to Valencia to live here for a few months and learn more Spanish meanwhile. Then, I searched for a Spanish school in the internet and I found Taronja. Well, now that this experience is about to end, I can say that I was right on both counts. At Taronja School I learned a lot – also how to cook paella! – and I didn’t only get to know excellent teachers but also friends. And with Cabanyal, I discovered a neighborhood so interesting I wouldn’t have thought before. Many thanks to everyone and see you soon, because it is certain that the adventure only had begun…
