Grupo Waganui – Rodney – Whangarey, Nueva Zelanda

  • Hello! We are students from New Zealand. During our time here (six days) we fell in love with Valencia. Valencia is very beautiful and there are many things to do. We went to an art museum, the central market, and we have learned about the history of this city. We danced salsa and it was very very very amusing. We watched a movie in Spanish which is called ´Robots´. The teachers of Taronja are very beautiful and funny and the classes are interesting and very educative. We like to visit another time! See you soon.
  • We like Valencia, because the beach is very beautiful and the shops in the city are nice. The city is very beautiful and very practical, because my house is only ten minutes away from the school.
  • The city is very interesting. I love the weather here. The school is very nice. I learned a lot.
  • I like Valencia, because the city is very very beautiful and the beach is enjoyable. The school is nice.
  • The city Valencia is very nice. I love the park where you can run, because I really like to run. The school is very nice as well, because the teachers are a lot of fun.
  • Hello! We are students from New Zealand. We love Valencia and the school. There are a lot of activities that we can do in the school and outside the school. The first day we went to the beach and we enjoyed it a lot. It was great! They were bigger than the beaches in New Zealand and we played football. We also did a language exchange. Which was an interesting experience and it was very helpful for our Spanish.
  • The welcome diner with paella was very tasteful. Another of our favorite meals in Valencia was the Spanish omelet and we learned how to prepare it in the cooking class. Yesterday we went to the central market and it was very big. There were many fruits, vegetables, meats, and a lot more, like living fish and pigs´ heads! We learned a bit of salsa last night. Some of us were better than others but we had a lot of fun. Thanks a lot to Sonia and Ángel. They are fantastic teachers!
  • We loved learning salsa because it was very enjoyable and we don´t have a type of dance like that in New Zealand. We liked the teachers because we could joke with them. We also think that we learned more Spanish in one week in Valencia, than we did all year in our country. We liked the activities in the street and when we asked people from Valencia and they helped us. We loved the Wifi because it is for free. We also loved the museums because the paintings were very historical and beautiful. Thank you very much for the trip of our life.
  • How are you! During our last week we got the amazing opportunity to study in Taronja, Valencia. We are from New Zealand, which is far away from Spain and has a different life style. We enjoyed the classes of Taronja very much because as far as we are concerned the classes were well organized, of good quality, challenging and useful. In class the teachers only speak in Spanish and for this reason they forced us to improve our Spanish. Honestly, after one week in Taronja we think we have squeezed every corner of our knowledge of the language. If you come to Taronja it is possible that you learn to dance Salsa or to cook tortillas, traditional tapas or Valencian paellas. It is also likely that you will stay in houses with Valencian families – which is an incredible opportunity to learn both the language and the culture with natives. If we had time, we could write a lot about the handsome teachers, like Marta, Ana, Maria José and Sandra, or about the food markets, but I think you have to experience it yourself in order to understand with empathy. Many thanks to Taronja for everything they have offered us during the week. We have loved it very much. Kia Ora!

During these weeks we participated in a lot of interesting and amusing activities. In the mornings the teachers always were ready to teach us very well and were very patient with us and their students. The first day we played football with our teachers and the second day we visited the Oceonogràfic. Yesterday we visited the Mestalla stadium. All the activities were fun and very well organized. Furthermore, the second day we ate paella with our teachers in the evening, and it was very nice. In general this week was very fun and enjoyable for all of us.

Cavallotti, Italia

Hello! We are Italian students from the school Cavallotti and we liked visiting Valencia and studying in Taronja school a lot. What we liked most were the activities organized by the school outside the classes, such as going to the market to buy and eat food like prawns, ham and more, going to the beach for sunbathing, and go cycling. The «Ciudad de las Artes y Ciencias» was very beautiful and interesting, just like the shops full of nice clothes. The cuisine in general we liked a lot, like paella, made by chef Nando, and sangria. The prices are very good. ¡Thank you all and thank you teachers! FERDINANDO, KALED, GIANNIO, CIRO & EDOARDO   Hello, we are students from the Cavallotti school. We are here in Valencia for a vacation of one week. In this vacation we have seen a lot of places, like the Oceanographic, the historic center, the beach and what we most liked was the Oceanographic. Furthermore, we went to the central market. We have eaten paella and we liked it a lot. Maria José is very friendly and beautiful. ANONYMOUS

The past three weeks have given me great amusement in this school. The teachers were sufficiently competent and very cheerful. I have learned a lot and, I think, progressed in speaking. My classmates were interesting and pleasant, although the majority was younger (difference from 25 to 40 years). I think I got well familiar. Further, it is a challenge for the teachers to take into account the age differences.
Everyone in Taronja, thank you very much for everything!

PASCAL & KYLE   Valencia is very big and beautiful. The city is very typical for Spain, because there are a lot of nice bars. But, the best are the paellas and the tapas, which are in all the bars. In Valencia the is a clean and beautiful beach too. Our school is very painted. Especially the teachers have been very friendly and funny. For this reason, we learned a lot about the culture, the people and Valencia. RAFFAEL S. & LENA P.   We love the food and the tapas. Our families were amusing and friendly. We like Valencia a lot, because the people are very sympathic and open. The city has a lot of wonderful places and interesting monuments. Furthermore, the history of Valencia is very fascinating and impressive. We like the beach a lot, because we don´t have one in Austria. All the food, from tapas to paella, is very very very… delicious! Finally, we love the great atmosphere in Valencia. SANDRA TRATTNER, EVELYN KELZ & CLAUDIS BARBAS     We liked the teacher of the school. Furthermore we liked the mordern apartments. We liked the library and the books we have borrowed there very much. We also liked the activity in which we asked people on the street. The short movie (French Roast) was interesting. Overall the school Taronja is very good and different to schools in Austria.   NARCIS, BIRGIT & JULIA

Thank you very much. I really liked the weeks in Taronja. I’ve never talked Spanish but now I can a little. I like the teachers, they’rea very reliable, take much time to talk to the students. Lessons are very entertaining because teachers don’t use books but songs, movies and games. The activities (after class) help a lot to learn and I ‘ve liked them. See you soon (I hope)!

Manouk, Netherlands

Two months in Taronja are not enough. It has been a funny time with the people of the school. All the professors, interns and students are very friendly. Lessons are really entertaining and instructive. I’ve learned a lot, not only Spanish (which is the most important thing) but also history, culture and so on. I’d really like to come back. I’m gonna miss you all, see you soon!

Bas, Netherlands

Taronja is the best school in Valencia! It has enthusiastic and funny teachers, many cultural activites and for this reason you can meet other students and practice your Spanish along the whole week. During these two months I’ve learned a lot of Spanish and when I’ll come back again, I’m going to learn Spanish in Taronja for sure! Thank you very much!
