Víctor Manuel

Víctor, profesor de Taronja

Víctor, professor at Taronja

I’m Víctor, although my full name is Víctor Manuel, what a long name, right? Well, I’m just named like that because my parents liked the singer Víctor Manuel. What would have happened if I had been a girl? Well, my parents had a plan B, which was to name her like his wife Ana Belén, who is also a singer. My Spanish Philology studies ended in 2009 and since 2011 I work at Taronja School, so I’m the youngest professor at the Spanish school. I enjoy being a Spanish teacher because every day I learn new things and meet people with different nationalities. As for my hobbies, I like going to the cinema, the beach, soccer, and I am devoted to Deportivo Coruña (soccer team) thanks to Bebeto. And above all, I love Formula 1, I do never miss a race, at whatever time it is. The problem is that none of my colleagues understands F1 and so I can not share my impresiones with them, but I have hope that Carlos and Sergio may reconsider. A hug to all my colleagues and students!

I really enjoyed the experience to study at Taronja. The Spanish classes were fun, informative and well organized. I learned a lot with the help of kind and friendly teachers. In addition, the activities organized in the afternoon allowed me to meet many other students from all over the world and also allowed me to get to know the city of Valencia and its culture. From teachers to accommodation every aspect of my stay at Taronja has been undeniable.I recommend it to everybody!

Hello! I’m Gessica, I’m Brazilian, I’m 24 years old and it is the first time for me in Spain and I have to say I loved Valencia. From the cultural point of view it is very rich, it is a very safe city, which also provides the opportunity to have fun and relax. I looked for a Spanish School because I’m going to live with my husband and therefore I need to improve the language, mainly to talk to people and to be able to work. As for my experience at Taronja School I’m happy and satisfied: I have learned a lot, I could improve my grammar and my expressive abilities. Through the many discussions we’ve always had in Spanish class I learned a lot of new words and expressions. I really liked the Spanish classes because the Spanish teachers are very open-minded, dynamic, highly qualified and they know how to teach the Spanish language very well. Taronja Spanish School is very flexible. And above all the activities are perfect. Thanks for everything!

Ludovico

Ludovico Pollono alumno septiembre 2012 Hello my name is Ludovico, I’m Italian and I work as a lawyer in Parma. My experience in Valencia is very positiv, the city is big and has many interesting things to do during the day and also at night. I have decided to learn Spanish for traveling and for work. To achieve my goal I chose Taronja school because I was here already last year and it had been an experience that I really liked. The policy at Taronja is very involving, during the day are lessons to study and at night there are organized activities (beach party, paella party, tapas tour…) for fun and to speak Spanish. Enjoy Valencia and good luck!

Claudia

Hi all! My name is Claudia, I am French, I live in the outskirts of Paris, near Versailles. I was an English teacher. I love speaking Spanish, the Spanish culture and Spain in general. I take Spanish classes at the Instituto Cervantes in Paris with my friends Patricia, Nicole and Maria who also came with me to Valencia. The city is very beautiful and the Valencians are very friendly. We have really enjoyed walking through the streets, especially at night, because there are many people in a very friendly atmosphere – and visit some interesting sites including the cathedral (impressive!), the Ceramics Museum, the Lonja, the Museum of fine arts and the central market (one of the largest markets in Europe!). Last week, on Saturday we visited the city of Xativa and climbed up to the castle from the Middle Ages. We really enjoyed the visit as the scenery and the view from the mountain. On Sunday, as the weather was gorgeous we went to the beach (immense, with very fine sand). I spent two very nice weeks here. I lived in the apartment of a woman named Begoña. My host is an extremely nice lady who has done everything possible to make me feel at home. I will miss her! I would also like to thank my Spanish teachers at Taronja for their very interesting and lively classes, and the entire school team (especially Marta for her availability and support) who has organized extracurricular activities that were fun and varied: the welcoming paella, the guided tour through the city center of Valencia, the tapas tour (very nice!), the Seafood Fair and also the Flamenco show in the «Café del Duende» (great for me because I dance flamenco). All these activities have allowed us to meet some Spanish students from other countries and share our impressions in the Spanish language. Thank you very much, really, for everything and everyone.

Sophia

Hello! My name is Sophia, I am 18 years and I am a student at Taronja. I’m from Germany and I’m going to study art and Spanish at a German university next month. I love traveling, painting, music and going out with my friends. I decided to study Spanish in Valencia because it is a very very nice city. I especially like the ‘city of arts and sciences’. Besides that the classes are interesting and the Spanish teachers are very good and very funny. Thank you for three wonderful weeks!

Nicola

Hello! My name is Nicola, I’m German. I’m 18 years old and I’m studying Spanish since three weeks here at Taronja. The Spanish school is very nice and is in the city center of Valencia. The Spanish teachers are all very young, friendly and fun. You get to know many nice people, for example in class with people from all around the world. Above that I loved the fun activities. Valencia is in every case magnificent because it is a very diverse and wonderful city.

Hello!

If you want to study Spanish come to Taronja! It has many advantages. It’s in Valencia, beautiful city with diverse architecture from Roman times up to today. You will find places for every desire. Museums, gardens and parks. But most important is the school team that cares about you, answers all questions and organizes various activities. The Spanish teachers are all very nice and teach grammar via different topics so you never get bored! Nobody kills you if you make a mistake! For me «super»! You’re running into Spanish students from countries all around the world. Accommodation: I was lucky: my host took care of me like I was a baby (we always drank!). All this accompanied by the sun (normaly!). In addition, a 20 minute bus or subway ride and you are at the beach… ¡ Viva Taronja! ¡Viva Valencia!

Patricia

Patricia Chaix alumna octubre 2012Hallo!

My name is Patricia. I’m from Paris in France. I just spent two weeks in Valencia, a very pleasant stay, both at the Spanish school and also with my host family. I liked this city especially for the beauty of its architecture from different epochs.

I was here with four friends I met at the Cervantes Institute in Paris. We also took advantage of our time here to visit Xátiva and its castle. We spent a great day there, a beautiful place. Last sunday we spent the day on the beach and ate a very delicious paella. The extracurricular activities (especially the paella with seafood and the tapas tour) were a lot of fun. I have improved my Spanish thanks to our teachers and the exchanges with my hosts. I also liked a lot to meet students from other nationalities. Thanks to Taronja, Vincent and Monte for this unique experience. One day I will return to Valencia…

Enjoy it!

Desires are rarely satisfied fully, but this time they were fulfilled during my stay at TARONJA. The care and the kindness that had been provided for me, made my stay unbelievably enjoyable. Thanks to the teachers, for their patience, their diversified and intelligent classes and in future it surely won’t happen that I don’t know anything to say in Spanish. I return to France feeling safer and more comfortable speaking Spanish, I also think that chocolate, ‘Water of Valencia’ and Paella had helped me a lot. For all that I have improved my Spanish without tremendous effort. Please do not forget to thank Carmen and Juvencio for their very warm welcome. Goodbye everybody!
