We had a fantastic time!

august-29-2012-exploring-valencia-0b51ae645f8dc95b8ceba3c35a06af2f¡Goodbye Valencia! We had a trip of a week in Valencia, and we had a fantastic time! We visited Oceanográfico, the Biopark, and La ciudad de las artes y ciencias and some other museums. We liked the Oceanográfico and the Bio park very much, mainly because we could see a lot of interesting animals but we also enjoyed the natural environment.  But the things that we enjoyed the most were the beach and the sea. Here we played volleybal and football. We think that we got to know the spanish culture quite well, and we hope to learn more spanish. In other words, the week in Valencia was unforgettable and it hurts to say goodbye. Miguel, David, Matthew & Felipe. The extreme kids. Valencia is beautiful and the weather is always great. Because of that we could visit a  lot of interesting places and museums. We especially liked the Biopark and the Oceanografico, where we could see animals from whole over the world.  Furthermore we went to the beach to relax and enjoy the sun. The food was great and we could try a lot of typical Valencian dishes. For example the paella, which was prepared by Taronja was fantastic. We liked the school a lot and the teachers were fun and we improved our spanish. It was an unforgettable oceanografic_valencia_ciutat_de_les_arts_51experience and we would like to return someday! Meli, Maximilien, Lukas, Hena An unforgettable experience. In general we enjoyed our stay in Valencia a lot. We liked the city a lot. We went to see the old cathedral, ciudad de las ciencias which was very impresive, and the Oceanografico. We were fascinated by the sharks and the seahorses. As well we saw a dolpinshow which was fantastic. Furthermore, we loved the beach, eventhough it was really windy when we were there. We think that the spanish are very open, friendly and fun, especially our host families treated us very wel. We can´t forget how good the food was, especially the variety of fruits. We learned a thing or two about spanish topics and dialy life while being at Taronja. We could get along great with the teachers. Anyway; concluding, it was an unforgettable stay and we enjoyed the school a lot, we would love to return soon! Georg, Katja, Magdalena

A FANTASTIC WEEK!

ARK ACADEMY

image 1 test The Ark Academy group can look back on a fantastic week with us, they return back home enriched by new experiences and great memories of classes and activities. Below you can read all about their week: Every morning we had a special program with spanish lessons. A lot of our classes took place outside of the classroom, interacting with the spanish on the streets of Valencia. At first it seemed quite hard but in the end it turned out to be great fun. In the afternoons we had activities and cultural trips to get to know more about spanish culture and customs. We visited «El Casco Antiguo», the central market and the «Fallero» museum, where they explained us all about the famous FALLAS. Furthermore, we were very lucky to be right in time for ¨La Semana Santa¨(Holy week) and we could see a procession on the beach. A special tradition that you don´t see on many places in the world, and we could see how it is celebrated here in Spain. To end the week we went to Biopark, which is a zoo that feels like a safari. You don´t see any bars in the entire park. Sometimes there was just a small creek between us and the animals 🙂 image-2imagela foto

It was an unforgettable experience and the lessons are very funny!

Group Tonbridge

Plaza de la Reina We are students from the Tonbridge School, England. During our stay we studied spanish and the culture of the region. We went to a football game which was an experience we´ll never forget because of the ambience. The most unforgettable moments were the visits of the mercado central, the beach and the catedral (above all the view from the tower). As well we won´t forget the interesting classes and the teachers. Also we went to the Oceanografico to see the pretty penguins and dolphins. We don´t want to go tomorrow! Thanks to all for a incredible week in which we learned a lot!   Names: Nick, Alberto, Liam, Paddy, Ross, Thomas, Roberto, Jánnessciudad-ciencias-artes-valencia-6 Country: England

outside and talk to the people in the streets, so we can practice our spanish in an interactive way. The school is a little bit hidden but altogether very good. The teachers Victor and Guillermo are marvellous and they like our jokes and they are very nice, likeable and they jave the skill to teach admirable.   Names: Joseph, Kingsley Country: England     The lessons are very interactive and the teachers make the lessons very emotional and useful. In some ways the lessons are better than in England, because we talk a lot and I think that talking is the most important thing to improve my spanish. As well the interactivity with people from the street is very useful, because we learn something about the culture of Valencia and we have the opportunity to talk to different people.   Names: Bertie, Rupert Country: England   This week we saw many interesting places. The best of our trip was the journey to the playa beach with bikes. It´s called «Saler» because there are many wind and sun and the journey was really relaxed even though it wasn´t for much time. I was shocked that there are so many beggars. Nevertheless I don´t think that the number of beggars belittle the pelota-de-fútbol beauty of the city. As well I was shocked because the cinema was so full of people even though it was saturday. If you were in London normally it would be empty. Also the size of the Mestalla stadium was very impressive. I would like to play football in this stadium, but just if I had enough skill for football!   Names: Leo y Samuel Country: England     When we came to Valencia we got t know our families and after that we went out. We ate with the families for the first time. Later we had lessons at Taronja. The weather was really good during our holidays. It was very hot, even though the problem was that the heat produced a terrible stench. We want to say thank you to our teachers because they have been nice and likeable. If we can come back next year, we´ll do it.   Names: Lukas, Fergus, Joyce Country: England       George and I arrived at Valencia for the first time and we expected a lot. Nice weather, delicious paella and pretty girls. We were not disappointed. Taronja is a school en el city centre with many bars and the teachers are very likeable. The lessons always have been full of jokes. Valencia is a beautyful city. From the old architecture of the townhall to the Ciudad de las Artes y de las Ciencias, which is really modern and futuristic, the city offers a lot to the people and you can always do something.   Names: George, Pierre-Louis Country: England   Here you can see a little video of one of our trips!

Hi at all!

We´re students from Austria and we had one beautiful week in Valencia. We visited many monuments of Valencia, for example the Plaza de Toros, the cathedral of Valencia and the Ciudad de las Artes y de las Ciencias. The most beautiful monument for us was the Oceanografico, which is situated in the Ciudad de las Artes y de las Ciencias. Every day we visited another monument in the morning. After lunch we had four hours of spanish class with Carlos and Clara. The classes were really interesting and funny. Every day we had to do an exercise for that we had to go out on the street and ask the people.

For the night we visited many bars and went to some activities, for example a tour de tapas and a night of flamenco. We could watch futball matches in the television as well.

The week was very nice but it ended too fast.

Hey everybody around the world! On the 23rd of February we arrived in Valencia and it’s a very nice city. It’s a city full of history but it’s also a modern city. The people here are very open and sympathetic and always helpful. On the first day we went to the beach and saw the port but it was a little bit windy. On the second day we visited the historic center of the city, had a Horchata and in the evening we had paella with seafood and vegetables. On the third day we went to the Mercado Central and in the afternoon we had a cooking class with the hilarious Chef Nando. On the fourth day we took a trip to see the modern part of the city and the Fallas Museum. On the last day we visited the Oceanografic Museum. We really loved our stay here and Spain is very beautiful. We can’t wait to return. See you soon! The people here are very friendly, open-minded and the food is as tasty as is in Italy. For example, we loved the paella, especially the one with seafood. We also loved the beaches. An unforgettable experience!

ISISS F. Daverio – N. Casula School IMG_2955 On Sunday, March 9 we arrived in Valencia. We’re a group of eight girls (Honey, Giulia, Fiorella, Maddalena, Arianna, Victoria, Valeria, Federica) and one guy (Federico). On Sunday we visited the beach and afterwards we got to know our host families. On Monday we got to know Marta (our guide) and she took us to the Mercado Central where we did a very hilarious activity: we had to gather information on ingredients we would need for a home-made dinner. After that we visited the Palacio de las Cortes de Valencia, which also goes by the name of Palacio de Benicarló. It’s very beautiful! In the evening we had our first spanish classes at Taronja School with our two teachers (Mariajo and Ana). On Tuesday morning we went on a tour to see the historic center of the city; after that we had classes and at nightfall we, together with our teachers and the interns and employees of the school had our Welcome-Paella. On Wednesday we went to the Science Museum Principe Felípe in the City of Arts and Sciencies, but it rained throughout all morning. After our classes we had a reunion with the directors of the school (Eva, Maxi and Fernando); we already had known Fernando on Monday because he was the one who prepared for us a Paella, Patatas Bravas and Sangria (typical food). On Thursday we visited the Fallas Museum and and in the evening we all went to see a Flamenco matinee in a typical Valencian bar.On our last day we visited the Oceanografic Museum and for the last classes we did a very special activity: Theater. In all the lessons we talked about topics that deal with business, exactly as our school had planned on beforehand. We really appreciate the experience we’ve had here. The classes were very interesting and fun even. Although the weather was rather bad – something which normally doesn’t happen here at all – we’ve had an unforgettable experience. We hope to return soon to Valencia and especially to Taronja School.
